Last week Bill Snider asked about an unusual Victoria young head penny brockage. Chick Ambrass writes:
I am no expert...not even being close to being competent in regards to brockages...but something must happen in regards to the size of the brockage "bad" side...and perhaps that has something to do with the "ring" on Bill's piece. I am saying this because I have a Farthing brockage from the 1860-1875 era....on the obverse, the "toothed" border is complete...but on the reverse, there are no teeth what-so-ever...hope this information may be of some assistance.
