Regarding John Adams' United States Numismatic Literature Volume I, Nineteenth Century Auction Catalogs, Robert Rightmire writes: I have Volume II and recently bought the 2001 reprint of Volume I, but it turns out the bindings are different. Does anyone know why?
I don't have a copy of the reprint, but Robert sent me an image and I scanned my original. Here they are side-by-side. I'm sure publisher George Kolbe can fill us in, but it's always difficult to match bindings at a comparable price when many years have passed in between. The volume was first published in 1982. -Editor
