William Julius Alexander
Biography
Born in Salisbury. Graduated from University of North Carolina in 1816. Admitted to the bar in 1818. Married Catherine Wilson.
An 1826 representative to the North Carolina House of Commons. Speaker of the House .
Served as Superintendent of the Charlotte Mint 1846 to 1849.
He died at Lincolnton, North Carolina.
