Enos Hook Nebeker

Biography

Born on an Indiana farm near Covington, Fountain County. Attended Ashbury, now DePauw University. Married Mary E. Sewell October 3, 1865. They had two children. Appointed collector of internal revenue in 1862. Elected auditor of Fountain County in 1870. He was active in Republican party politics and served as a delegate to the national convention in 1880. In banking 1880 to 1891.

Appointed Treasurer of the United States and served April 25, 1891, to May 31, 1893.
