Francine Irving Neff

Biography

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Married Edward John Neff June 7, 1948. They had two children. Received A.A. from Coffey College in 1946 and B.A. from the University of New Mexico in 1948.

Neff was active in Republican party politics. She served as Republican National committeewoman 1970 to 1974. Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1968 and 1972.

Appointed Treasurer of the United States and served June 21, 1974, to January 19, 1977. Her signature appears on Federal Reserve Notes, series of 1974 and 1976. Employed as marketing vice president for Rio Grande Valley Bank in Albuquerque 1977 to 1981.

She died at home in Pena Blanca.
