Norman E. Nemeth


Born in Newport News, Virginia. Served in U. S. Air Force 1961 to 1965. Received BFA from Hartford Art School in 1969. Employed 11 years with Franklin Mint.

Served as sculptor-engraver at the U.S. Mint after 2001 He executed these designs:

Olympic $5 reverse (2001)

First Flight Centennial reverse (2003)

Marine Corps 230th Anniversary obverse (2004)

Jefferson Nickel reverse (2005) Benjamin Franklin, Scientist obverse (2006)

Jamestown 400th Anniversary $5 reverse (2007)

Byron Nelson Congressional Gold Medal (2007)

Wyoming quarter reverse (2007)

Native American Three Sisters reverse (2009)

Letitia Tyler First Spouse reverse (2009)

Infantry dollar reverse (2012)

He died in West Chester, PA.
