William Page
Biography
Born in Albany, New York. Married Lavina Twibill ca. 1832. Married a second time to Sara Dougherty ca. 1844. Married a third time to Sophia Hitchcock in 1858. Among then they had nine children. Page was a pupil of Samuel F. B. Morse in 1826. He was primarily a portrait and figure painter. He worked in New York City 1833 to 1843. He moved to Boston and lived there 1844 to 1849. He lived in Italy 1849 to 1860. He returned to America and lived in Englewood, New Jersey 1860 to 1866. He lived in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York. He died in Staten Island.
