Harold Theodore Tate
Biography
Born in Rutledge, Tennessee. Married Margaret L. Ritchie August 6, 1902. Employed with Southern Railway Company 1900 to 1908. Member of the Masons.
Appointed Treasurer of the United States and served May 31, 1928, to January 17, 1929. His signature appears on Legal Tender Notes, Silver Certificates and Federal Reserve Notes, series of 1928.
He suffered a fall on October 13 and died at the Wheaton Nursing Home.
