William Von Bergen
Biography
Born at Berne, Switzerland and came to America in 1871. Married to Hulda E. Schnorr with three children.
Dealer at 89 Court Street, Boston in 1906. His business had the name "Numismatic Bank".
Author of The Rare Coins of America, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany and Spain published in 1889 and 1891. It was superseded by The Rare Coin Encyclopedia in 1901 that he labeled as 9th edition.
He died by suicide in Boston.
