J. (Jonathan) L. (Leo) Zerbe

Biography

Born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, brother of Farran Zerbe. Married Kathleen Miller (1897-1964) in June 12, 1912. Received B.A. from University of Pennsylvania in 1906. Principal of Ballmood High School in 1909. Received A.M. from Columbia in 1912. Assistant professor of English at University of Pittsburgh beginning in 1916.

Served as Librarian for the ANA in 1909. The library was inactive during his period of service. Author of Elements of Commercial English (1924). 

He died in San Diego, California. Reports that he died in 1917 were premature.
