Born in Kansas City, Missouri. Married to Norma with two sons and a daughter. Served with the U.S. Marine Corps. Employed with Kansas City Terminal Railroad. Owned a Diary Queen franchise.
Served as President of the Central States Numismatic Society 1984 to 1986. He was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1986.
He died at home in Kansas City, Missouri.
