Born in Salina, Utah. Graduated from Utah State University in 1982. Married with children. President of Wasatch Property Mangement, Inc. Owner of Real Salt Lake, a Major League Soccer franchise.
He is a co-owner of David Lawrence Rare Coins. A contemporary (2021) collector who aspires to form the greatest collection of United States coins ever.
In 2021 he was on the Coin World list of The Most Influential People in Numismatics 1960-2020. He made the list again in 2022 and 2023.
