Born in Wortham, Texas. Attended Eastern New Mexico University and Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma. Received B. A. degree in 1949. Married to Juanita with a son and a daughter. Employed with El Paso Natural Gas.
He served as president of the Professional Numismatist Guild (PNG).
He died at home in Waco, Texas.
