Lorenzo Harris Abbey
Biography
Born near Albany, New York. Married to Ann B. Loosee with a daughter. He had a fishing tackle shop in Brooklyn.
Coins from the Abbey collection were included in an 1863 auction by Henry Leeds and an 1864 auction by Woodward. He had a high grade 1799 cent now called the “Abbey Cent.”
He died at Jacksonville, Florida
