Wilma Mankiller

Biography

Borm im Tahleqah, Oklahoma. Married to Hector Hugo Olaya de Bardi on November 13, 1963. They had two daughters. She is the first woman elected principal chief of the Cherokee Nation. She appears on a 2022 Quarter.

She died at home in Adair County, Oklahoma.
