Lucretia Garfield
Biography
Born as Lucretia Rudolph in Garrettsville, Ohio. She married James Garfield on November 11, 1858. She died at home in South Pasadena, California.
She appears on the “First Spouse” $10 gold coin and corresponding bronze medal released on December 1, 2011. The obverse was designed by Barbara Fox and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill. Reverse was designed and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso.
