Born in Breathitt County, Kentucky. Married to Reva J. Watts with children. Retired from Cummins Engine.
Owner of John’s Coin and Jewelry Shop in Austin, Indiana. Police responded to his shop as he was thought to have died of natural causes but an examination determined that he had died from a shot to the head.
James Matthew Caudill, 22, pleaded guilty to the crime. He received an eighty-five year sentence.
