Born near Leningrad, Russia. Graduated from Vera Muchina School of Art and Design in 1972. Employed as sculptor-engraver at the Leningrad Mint.
Medallic artist living in Los Angeles. He received the ANA Numismatic Art Award in 1990. Received ANS J. Sanford Saltus Award in 1995.
