Bitler

Served in the Navy during WWII.

Assembled an important collection of large cents beginning in 1940's. He sold the collection to Abe Kosoff in August 1960. Kosoff offered a group of 410 pieces for $18,000. The remnants of the collection were sold at auction by A-Mark March 17, 1973. In 1965 he began a serious collection of cone shells.
