Born at Ithaca, New York. Served in United States Army 1961 to 1963. Married with children.
He has hiked or climbed to the highest point in every state and has climbed in every continent. He skied the last degree to the North Pole.
Dealer with Chicago Coin Co., Inc. PNG member after 1996. In 2022 he was inducted into the CCC Hall of Fame.
He maintained a large numismatic library adjacent to his coin store. This was sold at auction by Kolbe-Fanning in 2018. He was named a Numismatic Ambassador in 2021.
