The question of how something as terrible as the Holocaust could occur requires us to look much earlier in German history. Although an unpleasant topic to say the least, we have a duty to examine this history and never allow it to be forgotten, so that it may never happen again. Goplen will examine some of the most terrifying and hideous material in the numismatic world, debunk its claims and tropes, and show the direct link between the antisemitic propaganda banknotes, the rise of Hitler's Nazi Party, and the Holocaust.
