O'Donnell, Charles
Born in Atlanta, Georgia. Moved to Philadelphia in 1957. Graduate of the Woodrow Wilson College of Law in 1937. Admitted to the Georgia bar in 1937. He practiced law in Georgia for two years. He served in the Navy during WW II. Married to Ondine Kennedy in 1936. They had one son and four daughters. He was a civilian employee of the Department of Defense from 1941 until retirement in 1969.
He served on the board of the ANA 1977 to 1983, SPMC 1967 to 1980 and the Paper Money Collectors of Michigan. Past president of the Currency Club of Chester County. He contributed the "Paper Potpourri" column to the Bank Note Reporter. Author of The Standard Handbook of Modern U. S. Paper Money published in 1968. In 2017 he was inducted into the SPMC Hall of Fame.
He died in a hospital in Palatka, Florida.
