Ames, Mary
Born as Mary Clemmer at Utica, New York. Married the Reverend Daniel Ames on May 7, 1851. The marriage was annulled in 1874. She married Edmund Hudson on June 19, 1883.
Author of Ten years in Washington; life and scenes in the national capital, as a woman sees them (1879). Chapters 29 through 35 describe the Treasury Department including illustrations.
She died in Washington, D.C.
