Tall 4to, contemporary green half morocco, gilt, with marbled sides; spine with five raised bands, ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt; top page edges gilt; marbled endpapers. xxviii, 272 pages; text illustrations; 46 fine Phototypie plates of coins. Old handwritten spine label; minor foxing. Binding a bit rubbed. Very good or better. The original edition of this great classic work, covering the coinage of Alsace from medieval to modern times.
