Baetzner
A base silver coin of Stras- burg current in the sixteenth century and later. It was equivalent to eight Deniers, or the sixth part of a Dick-Pfennig, and multiples called Dreibaetzner, or one half of the Dick-Pfennig were also issued.
In the Luzerne coinage the Baetzner was equal to four Kreuzer, and silver denomi- nations of Zehnbaetzner were struck from about 1750 to 1812.
