Half Shiner

A coin mentioned in the monetary ordinances of Gibraltar and in 1762 fixed at a value of eleven Dollars and two Reales. From this value it must have been the Johannes, which was half the Dobra. See Chalmers, History of Currency in the British Colonies. 1893 (p. 298).
