Jingle Boy
An English slang term for a gold or silver coin, and specifically for a Guinea.
Thomas Day, in his play, The Beggar of Bednall Green , 1600 (v.), has: " Come, old fellow, bring thy white Bears to the Stake, and thy yellow gingle boys to the Bull- ring. "
