Ni Shu

A rectangular silver coin of Japan. The Shu was the fourth part of the Bu (q.v.), and the sixteenth part of the Ryo (q.v.). The Ni Shu, meaning two Shu, exists both in gold and silver, the former being struck as early as 1697. Also see Chu.
