Álbum de monedas

Spanish: Coin album. Albums began in the 1930s in the USA as thick cardboard pages with holes punched out for various sets of coins. The purpose of these boards was for the buyer to fill them with coins and return the completed boards to a dealer for cash. A list of prices paid was on the back. These are collected now with some selling for $200 - empty. Later boards, ring binders and folding albums are also collected.
