Alan V. Weinberg comments: Most unusual graphics for an Agric & Mech Society medal. This broad series of medals is a favorite of mine. Tony Terranova, Dave Menchell (and the late R W Colbert,Jr of Ga and England) also have an interest. Andrew Harkness of Pittsfield, NY may have the most extensive coll'n of them and has promised for decades to write a book on this series which offers so many varied, interesting graphics, many struck by the US Mint. Alas, no such book has been forthcoming. Just as well as we like to keep the series a "secret". |
