Description | [back] The Rolling Room. These large machines transformed the ingots or bars of metal into strips. The strips of metal were then annealed and returned to the Rolling Room where they were rolled several times more in the finishing rolls. Sample blanks were struck from these ribbons of metal and if they were of proper weight the rolling process was ended. (Circa 1903) |
