| Description | (1688) TOKEN American Plantations Token, 1/24 Part Real, Newman 2-B, W-1135, R.6 -- Environmental Damage -- NGC Details. Unc. Die alignment: 360?. While tin pest afflicts both sides of this unusual token issue, it remains uncirculated and shows considerable detail with mostly intact surfaces. The American Plantation tokens are the only American Colonial issue struck in tin. Eric P. Newman wrote the standard work on these pieces in 1955 (revised in 1964).
