| Description | 1772 1/2 P Georgius III, Machin's Mills Halfpenny, Vlack 7-72B, W-7730, R.6+, Fine 15 NGC. Die alignment: 150?. A distinctive variety with GEORGIUS spelled with a U rather than the usual V. The obverse of this piece is just lovely: clean, smooth, bold, and only a bit off-center. The reverse has some pitting, including a few green spots, but is also well struck and clear. Firmly in the condition census for the variety. Listed on page 69 of the 2018 Guide Book.
