| Description | 1778 1/2 P Georgivs III, Machin's Mills Halfpenny, Vlack 11-78A, W-7820, R.3, VG8 NGC. 100 grains. Die alignment: 180?. A well-circulated example of this Machin's Mills issue, with tan features against dark brown fields. A couple of small marks in front of George's face are noted. Britannia is fairly distinct, with a level of detail visible that rivals higher-grade examples of some varieties. The date is mostly clear, with some roughness to the reverse surface.
