| Description | 1786 NJERSY New Jersey Copper, Straight Beam, Maris 15-T, W-4825, R.4, VF20 NGC. Die alignment: 180?. A circulated example with dark brown fields and lighter raised areas. The incomplete 6 in the date is clear. The reverse is boldly struck, highlighting the prominent outline to the shield (a diagnostic for the variety) and the recutting of some of the letters in the legend (notably R, B, and M).
