| Description | 1811 1C S-287, B-1, R.2 -- Rim Damage -- NGC Details. VG. An apparent early die state, although most of the die anomalies described in the Breen Large Cent Encyclopedia are only visible on substantially higher-grade coins. This attractive piece has smooth olive surfaces with insignificant, grade-consistent handling marks. The minor obverse rim damage from 7 to 8 o'clock is hidden under the tab of the holder.
