Description | 1857 3CS - Improperly Cleaned - NGC Details. AU. Both sides of this unworn Type Two coin display irregular multicolor toning, including sun-orange, amber, violet, blue-gray, and russet hues. The strike is mostly sharp, although die lapping weakens the left side of the star. Faint horizontal hairlines on the obverse are only visible at certain angles under a loupe. Ex: Eric P.
