Description | 1893 25C Isabella Quarter MS61 NGC. On March 3, 1893, Congress passed legislation stipulating that $10,000 already appropriated for the World's Columbian Exposition's Board of Lady Managers could be given in the form of commemorative quarters. Of the 40,000 pieces struck, only 24,214 coins were sold. Examples are always in demand as this represents the sole issue in the series of this denomination. The usual shades of violet, blue, and gold color each side of this sharply stuck representatives. Scattered marks in the reverse field limit the grade. Ex: Eric P.
