1805 10C 4 Berries MS63 NGC. JR-2, R.2. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. This example from the Eric P. Newman Collection is the usual die state with an obverse die crack through ERTY. Delicate clash marks are noted, especially around the date. The reverse also has light clash marks. The strike is typical for the 1805 JR-2, with some weakness on the obverse hair details that closely matches the weakness on the Ed Price coin. The Select Mint State Newman specimen has full satin luster beneath navy-blue, jade-green, and golden-rose toning. Census: 21 in 63, 59 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $7.50; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
