1832 10C AU58 NGC. CAC. JR-3, R.3. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The JR-3 variety is identified by the position of star 8 placed high by Liberty's cap and the serif of the second S in STATES over the right edge of the right upright of U in PLURIBUS. The JR-3 is somewhat scarce in circulated grades, and high-grade pieces are quite elusive. The sharply impressed design elements show just a touch of wear and traces of mint luster occasionally shine through pleasing shades of pinkish-gray toning. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $3.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
