1835 25C MS62 NGC. CAC. B-1, R.1. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The high 3 in the date, and the descending die crack above the eagle's head, combine to identify the prevalent but conditionally rare Browning variety. Star 6 is sharply repunched. This is a needle-sharp type coin with frosty motifs and satin cartwheel luster. A lint mark from the beak to the A in STATES is strictly of mint origin. The borders display beautiful golden-brown, forest-green, and wheat-gold toning. Census: 29 in 62, 38 finer (10/13) for all 1835 varieties. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
