1915 25C PR68 S NGC. Only 450 proof quarters were struck in 1915, and in spite of the late date curiously few have been preserved in nearly perfect condition. This is a brightly mirrored proof striking whose mirrors enliven the concentric rings of alternating vivid deep red and blue toning. As one would expect from a PR68, there are absolutely no contact marks on either side, and the Star designation confirms the added eye appeal. Only three other non-Star PR68 quarters have been certified by NGC, and two Cameo PR68s have also been graded, one a Star coin (10/13). Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
