1814 50C Single Leaf XF45 NGC. CAC. O-105a, R.4. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. On this Guide Book staple the reverse die was heavily lapped to remove clash marks. One of the leaves in the upper pair was effaced, resulting in the famous "Single Leaf" O-105a die state. This Choice XF specimen displays pleasing shades of lavender, gray, and champagne-gold toning, with a reasonable amount of original mint luster. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
