1824 50C MS64 NGC. O-108a, R.2. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Yet another lovely coin from the Newman Collection that served time in an album. Peach-gold, cherry-red, and apple-green endow the obverse of this lustrous piece with exceptional eye appeal. The brilliant reverse is basically untoned with frosty luster. Liberty's profile is lightly doubled, a feature often seen in the half dollars of 1823 and 1824. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $3.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
