1832 50C Small Letters MS65 NGC. O-102, R.1. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. A repunched 8 in the date, and a spur from the right wingtip, are the pick-up points to attribute this collectible Overton variety. Forest-green margins surround straw-gold and gunmetal-gray fields and motifs. The strike is precise save for the uppermost stars and eagle's claws. The depth of luster on this Gem 1832 supports a claim to finest known of the variety. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $5.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
