1861 50C PR64 Cameo NGC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Of the 400 or so proofs distributed to collectors in 1861, very few are known with Cameo contrast. NGC has only certified one other coin in PR64 Cameo, and six others are finer (9/13). The interior portions of each side of this near-Gem are brilliant, yielding strong field-device contrast. Around the peripheries both obverse and reverse display russet-brown and cobalt-blue toning. The strike is pinpoint precise throughout. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
