1883 50C PR67 Cameo NGC. WB-101. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The 1883 is among the lowest of the decade-long production of low mintage half dollars. Only 9,039 total pieces were struck, with 1,039 of that total being proofs. This superlative, fully struck Cameo displays marginal reddish-golden accents with bright, flashy interior portions on each side. The devices have confirmed mint frost that gives the coin its strong field-device contrast. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $7.50; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
