1875 T$1 MS64 NGC. CAC. Type Two Reverse. A transitional issue for the year, this is one of the first Philadelphia Trade dollars to show the revised Type Two reverse with no berry under the eagle's claw, the lowest arrowhead ending over the 2 in 420 rather than the 0, and so on. Though softly struck, this piece has no trace of wear but plenty of luster, understated on the satiny rose-gray obverse and brighter on the reverse with occasional glimpses of flash. Census: 16 in 64, 11 finer (9/13). Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
