Description | 1854 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. A touch of blending on the eagle's left (facing) leg is the most discernible evidence of possible rub, but this near-Mint example is close to full Mint State. Luster is prevalent across both sides of the coin, which is boldly struck and attractive. Reddish-gold accents complement the medium-gold coloration. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Realized $352.50. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions. |
