1878 1C PR65 Red and Brown NGC. CAC. The 1878 is one of the more easily obtainable proof Indian cent issues of the period in Gem condition, though such coins are still elusive with remaining mint red color. This representative displays crisp motifs and moderately reflective fields beneath rich hues of amber-red, burgundy, and pale olive toning. Census: 61 in 65 (1 in 65 S) Red and Brown, 6 finer (9/14).
